  1. Hello all!
I believe the characteristics of adult learners will continue to evolve; technology advancements and demographics seem to be the strongest factors influencing the changes. I used an abacus in elementary, played eight tracks in my dad's truck, had a walkman as a teenager, used an iPod in my early 30's, and now I am learning online! I cannot imagine what the world of technology has in store for adult learners.
Adult learners in the future will have access to information everywhere, at anytime, and from a plethora of wireless devices. I also foresee brick and mortar institutions to become more obsolete.

    1. You got it right Pedro. There really is no telling where we'll be in just a few short years. My son made a similar post a few weeks back talking about how he was caught in between the "Baby Boomer" and "Millenial" generations. He considers himself as the "lost" generation and from your post you are probably in the same, maybe, slightly older than he. He was born in 1977. If I find the post he was referring to I'll send it to you.

  2. Pedro, we are probably closer in age...I agree with what you said. I remember when I use to highlight on my resume that I was computer literate. Now, I've updated it to highlight that I am also technology proficient. It is no longer enough to know how to operate a computer and its application. It is critical that we also know how to adapt and respond to technological trends and opportunities. Times are changing quickly. My five year old knows how to use my iphone. He downloads apps and ignores calls. It's crazy....while adjusting took me a while, new generations are on a roll.
